Lakewood PD has issued a Shelter in Place Order for residents and businesses in the area of 6th Avenue and Kipling due to a Bomb Threat.

There is an active threat to public safety. Take immediate precautions:

If you are indoors:

• Stay inside and remain in place.

• Lock all doors and windows.

• Close blinds or curtains and move away from windows.

• If possible, move to an interior room or basement.

If you are outdoors:

• Go indoors immediately and stay there until further notice.

Safety Instructions:

• Do not leave your home or business.

• Do not attempt to evacuate the area.

• Do not open your door unless you are certain of the person’s identity.

• Call 911 if you see suspicious activity or an unfamiliar person on your property.
